2 weeks in now. i'm doing well. ny life is great. i love everything about it. except for the expenses and not having many friends. two things i hope to change sooner than later. the big news: i'm designing a cd. it's called baltimore by the artist trevor dunn (bassist) and shelley burgon (harpist). it's a far out album that is improv jazz recorded live. i'm really excited to be designing this. it's my first cd that will actually be made. and that's why i came to ny! so that happened fast.

the second big news is that i may or may not be in a band. i jammed with these two guys last week. i haven't heard anything since. so i don't know what's up but, we had a good jam. the guitartist works at a studio so we got to use the space for free. a full drum set and amps were already there. it sounded great. john legend was rehersing in the studio next to us too. i hope they give me a call back. i'd love to be in a band again. we'll see.

my camera card is busted right now so i don't have many pictures yet. i went down to the brooklyn bridge park to take some shots. i got some good ones but when i got home the card couldn't be read.

went to the yankee game today. i'm starting to feel like a new yorker. getting the trains down, learning the streets. i really hasn't hit me yet that this is my home. there is so much going on around me all the time and i'm always busy. i can't wait till meghan gets here. she's going to love it.

i'm listening to: justin timberlake - sexy back
i'm reading: choke - chuck palahniuk
i'm designing: cd cover, poster for a serbian culture day in iceland

two days ago i borded a plane bound for new york city. i've been waiting about 2 years for this day to come. i've moved to brooklyn. i start interning for karlssonwilker.inc on wednesday. so, i'm living in park slope, brooklyn. it's a great spot. i'm living with 2 sisters rebecca and jessica. they are super nice and have made me feel very welcome. yesterday we took the trains into the city to figure out my work route. it only took about 20 minutes from my front door to the office. my apartment is great. everything is relatively new and very clean. last night i walked around by myself for the first time. wondered in the rainy sidewalks of park slope, brought some chinese home and watched the sopranos. so today i have to go to manhattan to sign all the stuff for the apartment and pay the fees. it's no lie when you hear that new york is expensive. everything is expensive. though i had an awesome slice of pizza yesterday for like 2 bucks. so there are deals, but generally it's expensive.
